Breaking news, Michigan State Police announce the arrest of two people in a homicide case.

On Tuesday February 20th MSP Cadillac Post was contacted about a missing 55-year-old man.

Troopers say the mans truck, dog, phone, and other personal items were still at his residence in Cadillac.

After searching the property troopers found an area behind the house where the ground was recently disturbed.

The next day detectives excavated the area finding chunks of burnt wood, tires, bits of burnt clothing, and a piece of flesh.

Two people who were staying with the victim before his disappearance became suspects in the investigation.

45-year-old Michael Peter Hayes from LeRoy and 18-year-old Katelynne Jonelle Hendricks from Tustin were charged today for the homicide.

Hayes arraigned on 5 counts - held without bond.

And Hendricks arraigned on one count Accessory after the Fact to a Felony, and one count Concealing the Death of an Individual - she is being held on a $500,000 bond.
